Is it safe to order online?

How we protect customer information

  • Industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption is always used

When logging in or checking out on the Tribesports website, all sensitive data is transmitted over HTTPS. This means a secure SSL connection has been established, and that all data transmitted through this connection will be encrypted. If you are receiving SSL Certificate errors when accessing the Tribesports website, that means that the domain name in the SSL certificate does not match the address that is in the address bar of the browser. Alternatively, it may mean that your browser is misconfigured and does not accept the root certificate used by Tribesports. Please contact if you encounter this error.

  • Payment Gateway Provider
Braintree is our Payment gateway provider and they complete the sales order. Now to collect and store the payment data they use a technique called "client-side encryption". This means Braintree collects the customer info, encrypts it and then send it to Tribesports' servers. Tribesports will never have access to this data because is encrypted, Tribesports will only store it. Braintree has the key to decrypt it. The decryption bit happens on Braintree server, so we can't access it at any time, which is good from the security/liability point of view.
How do we know Braintree is safe? Well as a Payment Gateway provider they have to comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.
